Background:Some of you may be familiar with Domaine Alain Graillot, in the Rhone Valley. Without any doubt one of the best Crozes-Hermitage producer! It was in 1985 that the legendary Alain Graillot, who after working at Domaine Dujac in Burgundy,came back to his home in Crozes-Hermitage to start making his own wines. Alain’s son, Maxime, trained under his father from a young age and in 2004 decided to split his time between his father’s domaine and establishing his own winery:EQUIS. Knowing where the best land in the Rhone was to be found, he purchased vineyards adjacent to those of Domaine Alain Graillot.
